Summary: Hired a taxi from the train station (Atocha), which was a fair distance from the hotel, so if arriving by train, I'd recommend hiring a driver. Our check in was simple and we were allowed to use the pool while we waited. Once in our room, it was spacious, with AC, and comfortable. We only stayed one night before airport departure so the pool was a definite plus! The airport shuttle was very convenient and there were some nice dining options within 1-1.5kms walking distance. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this as a first or last stop in Madrid!
