Summary: We have just returned home from a 3 night stay at OKU Ibiza. Advertised as a 5* hotel in San Antonio. This trip was part of our Mini Moon. So I had asked in advance if a welcome gift for my wife was possible. This was kindly accepted. Which I was very grateful for. When we arrived at OKU, we were impressed with the look of the hotel and the gardens that are part of the hotel. It's a beautiful looking hotel. No complaints there. Upon check in which was admittedly an early check in, it became apparent that we were in block 3, the family block. Which I was worried about before (maybe I should have pre booked a different block, not sure if this is possible) where you just don't feel part of it, an after thought. It's across the road from the main pool and bar area. This isn't mentioned on the site when you book so beware. Our view in the room was appalling. Bins and car park. There was also no welcome gesture. You are also going to have €100 per a night you are there temporarily blocked from your credit card. Overall we wouldn't return, it's simply not worth the money. It's nowhere near a 5* . It feels soulless and struggles to meet the standards of other hotels around that are cheaper and a better vibe. Sadly we were dissatisfied in a number of areas. I had even debated leaving if I could have got a refund, but we weren't on the island long enough really. In hindsight I wish I had as it's not a 5* experience. 4* at absolute best.
